Putting My Clients First

About

About Me and the Creation of Senior Organizing Services

I'm a wife and mother of two grown daughters, and I share my life with two dogs I love hiking with. My career has spanned hairdressing for over 25 years, as well as work in law, construction, and cleaning. But one thing has remained constant across all these paths—I’ve always been passionate about helping people.

Since moving to Calgary in 2003, I’ve moved at least ten times. Whether the space was too small or the owners decided to sell, I became very familiar with packing, purging, and organizing. That experience, along with a natural knack for order and structure, set the foundation for this chapter of my life. It also helps that I met my husband while working in the moving industry!

My First Project

It all started with helping a relative move. She had lived in the same four-bedroom bungalow for over 40 years. Alone, she faced the daunting task of downsizing decades of memories and possessions. I stepped in and spent a week combing through the house—sorting, labeling, boxing, and distributing items. We found everything from childhood toys to tools she hadn’t touched in years.

Even when family and friends want to help, they often can't take on a project of that size. And that’s why I started Senior Organizing Services—to be the extra hands, the calm presence, and the organized mind when life gets overwhelming.

More Than Just Stuff

Did you know clutter can take up to 50% of your living space? But more than that, it can take up mental and emotional space, too. Decluttering and downsizing isn’t just about clearing rooms—it’s about freeing your mind, body, and soul.

Whether you're moving, downsizing, or seeking a lifestyle shift, I’m here to help simplify your space—so you can feel at peace in your home again.

Services

Whether you're doing a seasonal declutter, downsizing for a move, or just need a hand with organization, Senior Organizing Services is here to help. We specialize in providing thoughtful, hands-on support to make your space more functional, peaceful, and organized. Our goal is to help you sort through disposable, outdated, and donation-worthy items, while preserving the memories and keepsakes that matter most.

Consultation & Assessment

We offer a Free 30-minute consultation—either in-person or virtually (depending on location and availability). During this consultation, we’ll discuss which areas of your home you'd like to focus on. If we’re a good fit to work together, we’ll talk through your goals, set a timeline, and provide a budget outline to ensure the project meets your expectations.

What Kind of Clutter-Bug Are You?

Organizing styles vary from person to person. Which one are you?

  • The Ladybug: Tidy on the outside but hiding clutter behind closed doors. Junk drawers and overstuffed closets are your thing.

  • The Bumblebee: You love starting creative projects, but often leave them out to “get to later.”

  • The Cricket: You’re always organizing—with labeled bins and color-coded folders—but perfectionism keeps you from ever finishing.

  • The Butterfly: You prefer things visible, but forget where you put them. Out of sight = out of mind.

No matter your style, I work with you—not against you—to find solutions that actually fit your life.
